With trenchless technologies, it is now possible to install, directly underground and without using the traditional open cut methods, pipelines designated for different uses: sewers, waterworks, gas pipes, underground ducts for telephone cables, optical fibres, electrical cables, pipelines for remote heating systems, etc.
By installing bare medium or high voltage electrical cables directly in the earth and at great depth, it is possible not only to reduce all electrical and magnetic fields, but also to eliminate the need for digging deep and highly expensive open trenches.
Drainage systems can be put in to treat polluted sites or to make polluting sites safe, and draining pipes can be installed exactly where they are needed for stabilising slopes.
